This fall, we are all going to be looking for ways to keep our hands and minds busy. Why not learn a totally new skill, sewing your own clothes!
In collaboration with the Lower Manhattan Community Council and Materials for the Arts, The CIFA is proud to bring back our FREE Workshop Program this Fall!
Our teachers take students from first stitch to first runway in a series of 4 weekly sessions. Sign up below to receive fun starter activities to get your kid excited for the Fall!
A welcome box including fun CIFA swag, and a starter pin cushion project.
A Project Box! Our inclusive kit that has everything that you need to get started on your sewing journey.
Parent and Child Orientation. Since we won’t be there in person, we need some help from our workshop parents to keep kids on track with their projects. Learn how on September 27 at the Parent and Kid Orientation!
Eight Engaging video lessons that students can come back to to work on their skills!
Three live sessions with teachers each Sunday from 2-4pm to deepen skills.
Our project culminates in an Online Fashion Show on October 25th! Everyone has a front row seat to this exciting event.
At the end of it, you’ll not only have a dress that you made yourself, but we will also send you a diploma that includes images of you working throughout your journey so that you can see how much you’ve grown in your skill!
